Complete Twelfth Night video, National Opera Association award

I’m pleased to announce that UCSB’s production of my opera, Twelfth Night won first place in the National Opera Association’s production competition, division II. I’m so thankful for the hard work that the whole department put in, and especially to the wonderful young singers, director David Grabarkewitz, producer Benjamin Brecher, and conductor Brent Wilson.

Fromm Music Foundation commission

The Fromm Music Foundation of Harvard University awarded Joel Feigin a commission to write a work for piano and chamber concerto for the American-Israeli pianist Yael Weiss. The premiere was held on Thursday, September 30, 2010, 8:00 PM

Award for Five Ecstatic Poems of Kabir

Five Ecstatic Poems of Kabir has been awarded 1st prize in the Third Millennium Ensemble Composers’ Competition as well as Third Millennium’s Cheryl A. Spector Prize for the best piece by a GLBT composer.
